Ⅰ. Application:

Sagging Testeris applicable to determine the relative sag resistance of a series of paints in order to provide the technical parameters for the paint application in site. It is not suitable for testing Sag Resistance of varnish and powder coatings.

Ⅲ. Usage:

1.Test Panel: It adopts 200mm120mm2-3mm glass plate, its surface is plain and smooth.
2.Place panel on the platform, don’t slide. Place Sag Tester on the top of test panel, the coating shall be homogeneous. Pour coating in front of gap in pulling direction, press the both side of the tester by fingers, hold Sage Tester scraping along the test panel from the top of testing surface to bottom of testing surface within 2-3 seconds. Apply the coating, forming 10 streaks of various thickness.
3.Immediately after application, place the test panel into a vertical position, with the thinnest film streak at the top, avoiding any shock.
4.Observe sagging properties of paints in the period between application and drying. Depending on the sagging tendency the separate streaks converge. Generally, the thickness film streak is indicated where separate streaks doesn’t converge.
5.Wash and oil after use to prevent rust.
