GZY-2 Line Drying Time Recorder produced by our company is to satisfy determining several stages of of Drying Time of coatings. Dry-film formation of coatings is a long and continuous process. In order to evaluate them satisfactorily, it is necessary to use instrumentation under controlled conditions. The Drying Time Recorder is immediately placed on the wet film and the needles lowered onto the wet coating. The needle moves across the glass strip at a selected speed. After drying, evaluate different track where the needle tears the surface of the film to determine the stages of drying time.

The Drying Time Recorder adopts stepmotor, it can provide accurate move control. Six needle clips are installed on the carrier, the needle lowered onto the wet coating moves across the glass strip by the carrier’s shifting. The unit will automatically switch off at the end of test. Raise a pressure plate which is below the back of carrier, reset carrier by hand move. A scale label installed in front of the unit is convenient for the conversion of shift distance to shift time. A total of five different speeds corresponding to 3 ~ 48 hours timer can be chosen.

1. Preparing work before test:
(1) Make all measurements at constant temperature and humidity.
(2) The instrument should be put on the strong and flat table, far from high magnetic field、 highfield、high electromagnetic pulse.interference
2. Operating Procedure:
(1) Plug in power, switch on.
(2) If the carrier is not in starting position, raise a pressure plate which is below the back of carrier, reset carrier by hand move.
(3) Place needles (with rounded tips) on the needle clip, make needle pole vertical to glass strip.
(4) Loosen holding screw which is on the support frame, take down glass strip. Coat required wet film on the glass strip using the right film applicator
(5) Place the glass strip on the support frame, suitable tighten holding screw which is on one end.
(6) Lower needles gently onto the wet coating.
(7) Select the suitable speed by adjusting the speed switch. Turn the recorder on, needles will be drawn along the glass strip by the carrier. If you need to change choice, push stop button first, then reselect. The unit will automatically switch off at the end of test.
(8) Observe the various stages of film curing and drying, evaluate the results.

Guide screw and slide rod should be lubricated from both side of open-end after using a period of time.
